With over 250 individually filtered aquaria devoted exclusively to tropicals, we’re sure you’ll find the fish you’re looking for, and perhaps one or two you weren’t!
We stock everything from bread and butter community fish, all the way to out and out oddballs, so something for everyone!
We work closely with several suppliers to secure some of the best quality fish around. This network of importers allows us to source fish from farms all over the world, with regular shipments arriving from countries as far flung as Indonesia, Thailand, Nigeria, and Colombia to name just a few.
With this many supplier farms available to us, we can source pretty much every fish available in the trade, so if you don’t see it in our tanks, let us know as there’s a very good chance we can get it in for you!
Whilst not as popular as they used to be, fancy goldfish still have a place here at Birley Moor. We love them!
We stock a range to suit all budgets, from small fantails, up to large high grade Ranchu & Oranda.
We’re not all about the indoor aquariums, we cater to the pond keepers too!
We stock a wide selection of Koi through the season, with new shipments arriving from April.
For the 2025 season we’re expanding our pond section to include over 20 indoor/outdoor ponds, giving our customers more choice than ever before.
All of our Koi are sourced from some of the best breeders in Israel, producing everything from the always popular Gosanke and Utsurimono varieties, to less commonly seen colour forms such as Kumonryu, Kikokuryu and Goromo.
For those with smaller ponds, we hold a range of alternative species for your garden wetland oasis.
Through the season you’ll find a fantastic assortment of goldfish colour varieties. We also like to offer something a bit different, so expect to see the likes of Wakin and Bristol Shubunkin throughout the year.
If goldfish aren’t your thing, we always hold a decent selection of natives and ornamentals, including Carp, Tench, Orfe & Rudd to name just a few.
It’s not just fish we stock, we have everything you need to keep them happy and healthy too.
We stock a wide range of foods, water treatments, medications and equipment from industry brand leaders including NT Labs, Fish Science, Seachem and Tetra.
We also stock an array of aquarium and pond plants.
Alongside our aquatics centre you’ll discover Birley Moor Garden Centre, featuring gifts, plants, flowers and gardening essentials. At Grandpa Joe’s Potting Shed you’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to refreshment and delicious food. Bring the family, and make a day (or evening) of it at your local independent garden centre.
As well as our tropical and coldwater aquarium fish, we also stock Koi and other Pond Fish from spring until Early Autumn. Our aquarium fish are available all year round.

Yes, we have a wide range of fish food from leading brands including NT Labs, Fish Science, Hikari and Tetra.
We also stock live and frozen fish food, to give your fish the nutrients and care they need right from the start.
